The Walking Dead Season 3 Will be Out This Year, according to Telltale

Telltale has confirmed that the third season of its critically acclaimed Walking Dead series will be out later this year in a new interview with Mashable.

Announced last week, Telltale’s upcoming Batman series will use a new iteration of their game engine that the development company seems pretty excited about.

“We’ve got a whole lot of new technology that’s going in that you’ll start to see in Batman, and Telltale games going forward […] We have a bunch of new engineers that have been working on rendering technology – non-photorealistic rendering technology […] but it’s really cool, very much upgraded from the kinds of things that you’ve seen from Telltale in the past […] It’s still a Telltale game, so it’ll be evolved from what you’ve seen before, but I think a more significant step than you’ve seen from any of our products in the past.”

With the upgrade in technology at Telltale, the company has also been working on making save imports easier for players. Telltale told Mashable, “We’ve got a strategy to help Season 3 players … collect all their data from the previous games. [W]e didn’t have the cloud services in Season 1 that we have now. So we’re going to have a solution for everybody that we’re not talking about yet.”

Telltale will start revealing more details about The Walking Dead S3 at Comic-Con International this summer, with the premiere episode launching later this year.  Stay tuned to OnlySP on Facebook and Twitter for more details on the upcoming season of The Walking Dead by following us on Facebook and Twitter.

Stalker 2 is Not A Revived Version of the Cancelled 2012 Project

Stalker 2

Stalker 2 has been confirmed as an entirely new project that has no basis on the cancelled 2012 sequel.

Roughly a decade ago, fans were excited when Stalker 2 was announced. Unfortunately, in 2012, Ukrainian developers GSC Games World was shut down and all progress on the sequel was put on hold.

All went quiet until 2014 where the company resurfaced and announced that development on a version of Stalker 2 was underway. Despite a developer build for the original Stalker 2 making its way onto the web, GSC Games World chose to start from scratch and create an entirely new AAA experience for the series.

GSC Games World has so far not stated why the decision was made to start from the beginning, aside from the assurance that the new game is currently in development and will hopefully hit stores in 2021.
