At the Kinda Funny Games Showcase, Skybound Games revealed a new trailer for “Broken Toys”, the next episode of The Walking Dead: The Final Season.

The first episode since original developer Telltale Games shut down in September 2018, “Broken Toys” will be released on January 15, 2019 for all platforms. All previous episodes and seasons are also now available for their respective platforms.

Telltale Games shocked the industry when it laid off all staff in September, leaving the final two episodes of The Walking Dead, a series that began in 2012, unfinished. The following month, The Walking Dead comic creator Robert Kirkman’s company Skybound Games revealed that it would be completing the remainder of the game, which resumed in November with members of the original development team.

Rhain discovered a long time ago that mixing one of his passions (video games) with the other (writing) might be a good idea, and now he’s been stuck in the industry for over six years with no means of escaping. His favourite games are those with deep and captivating narratives: while it would take far too long to list them all, some include L.A. Noire, Red Dead Redemption (and its sequel), Wolfenstein: The New Order, The Last of Us, and the Uncharted series.

Digimon Survive

The opening movie for Bandai Namco’s survival strategy game, Digimon Survive, has been released.

The opening was first shown exclusively at the “Future of Digimon” panel at Anime Expo 2019 back on July 6. The opening shows an earthquake that has hit Kanobe City, as well as some ominous red eyes (presumably Digimon) surrounding an old man in a forest. Near the end, the main character, Takuma, sees a mysterious silhouette of a girl, and the opening finishes with her singing.

Digimon Survive follows Takuma and his companion, Agumon, as they make decisions to stay alive and escape a bizarre dimension.

Digimon Survive will release on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One in 2020.
