Retail Listing Suggests New Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell For 2018 Release

Splinter Cell

A listing for a 2018 release for a new Splinter Cell has been found on the Ubisoft page for Amazon Canada, courtesy of a Redditor’s inquisitive eye.

The listing has since been removed, but little information was on the page other than the game’s working title. However, much like Sam Fisher himself, Redditors discovered some hidden information on the page, including a possible hint that the game will be announced at this year’s E3 for  a PC release.

Whilst PC was specified on the page, the game, similarly to its predecessors, will very likely launch on most consoles, too.

Obviously, the page might just be speculative preparation by Amazon, but following 2016’s rumour on NeoGAF that Michael Ironside will be reprising his role as Sam Fisher, along with hints by Ubisoft Montral CEO Yannis Mallat last E3 that the company has “not [forgotten] Splinter Cell“, a new addition to the series coming out this year is certainly possible.

The title will follow 2013’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist, which received decent reviews from fans and media alike.
