Just days after Creative Assembly teased the next Total War Saga game, it identity has been leaked as Troy: A Total War Saga.
Reddit user Mavus posted a photo of the next issue of PC Gamer magazine, which features an exclusive cover story on the upcoming title.
Predictably, no further details are forthcoming at present, though the tagline of “Epic battle in a world of gods and monsters” may hint that the game will follow in the footsteps of Total War: Three Kingdoms and feature a secondary campaign that leans into the legendary and literary chronicles of the war.
The leak seems to confirm an earlier trademark filing.
Troy will be the third entry in the Total War Saga spin-off series, which also includes Thrones of Britannia and Fall of the Samurai, which was previously a piece of DLC for Total War: Shogun 2.
No release date has yet been confirmed, though, in keeping with previous entries in the series, the game is expected to be exclusively available on PC.
Meanwhile, Creative Assembly recently confirmed that it is “deep into production” on the third entry in its Warhammer cross-over series.
