Umbra is A New Top-Down Open World RPG by Solarfall Games, Kickstarter Launching May 13th

Solarfall Games have just published a new developer diary for their upcoming open world hack and slash RPG, Umbra.

The developer diary shows off the developer’s beautiful looking open world, combat, and elemental effects that players will be able to combine to create disastrous effects on their enemies. The game seems to be in very early development, but from what was shown it’s looking quite good.

Umbra is being developed using Cryengine and has a Kickstarter planned to launch on May 13th, which is next Wednesday. The development team only consists of three people according to the Youtube video’s description with the game currently only scheduled for a PC release.

Here’s an official description of the game via the official website for Umbra:

Umbra melds much-loved hack-and-slash gameplay with state-of-the-art graphics, and underpins it all with a truly modern AI. Inspired by the classic Diablo 2 game, Umbra aims to deliver an intense and rich action RPG game. Personalization of your character build is free, deep and highly customizable, and many secret are hidden in the world
