Beyond a Steel Sky

Revolution Software has announced that its 3D action-adventure Beyond A Steel Sky will launch early next year.

Revolution shared the news via an update on Steam: “Some of you may have spotted on our initial announcement press release that Beyond a Steel Sky would be coming out in 2019. We can now confirm that it will be releasing a few months later in 2020.”

The team explained that the delay is due to development taking a few months longer than originally planned to fit everything whilst not compromising on quality.

The studio’s website has also emphasized that the extra time will be used to integrate conceptual innovations such as system hacking into adventure gameplay, innovating with graphics technology, and working to create a beautiful visual style.

Beyond A Steel Sky is the sequel to the 1994 cult classic Beneath a Steel Sky, a funny, point-and-click adventure set in a utopian cyberpunk-like world. Furthermore, The Broken Sword series creator Charles Cecil is actively working on the project.
