Wolfenstein 3D was a revolutionary title back when it was first released in the early 90s. Gunning down Nazis in the greatest first person technology yet had never been so fun! Now, 11 years on, MachineGames and Bethesda Softworks show off their latest title in the franchise, Wolfenstein: The New Order. This new video shows off some crazy, gun-totting gameplay with unqiue weapons and a sprinkle of stealth, as well as some insight into the architecture of the game’s design:
Shaping up to be a fresh break from the modern combat rule of the FPS genre, Wolfenstein: The New Order looks like an enjoyable, hectic shooter. While, at the moment, there appears to be no greatly original mechanic, the weapons and world look intriguing to say the least. The fact that this is a sole single-player experience also suggest we might be seeing a very detailed campaign. Wolfenstein: The New Order will be hitting PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this year.
