XCOM: Enemy Unknown is only a month away from suddenly popping up on store shelves like a UFO uncloaking and its driver laughing maniacally as it destroys a city. 2K and Firaxis Games have prepared a huge casserole of gameplay commentary for you, which should help you decide on your potential purchase.

This latest gameplay video runs over one hour, and showcases a lot of what the game has to offer. Commentary is provided by three of the developers as they explain how the game works and otherwise have a blast playing it. This should definitely indicate whether or not this is game is for you.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown releases on October 9th (12th EU, AUS) for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a UFO to build.

  1. You know a dev is confident about their product when they show an hour of in-game footage. After watching some dev diaries and other commentary, it&#039s obvious Firaxis is dropping another killer title. I&#039ve been looking forward to this for a while now. I can&#039t wait to get my hands on it!!!

  2. I watched half of it so far but will finish the rest later. Don&#039t have the time right now for the whole thing.

After what I&#039ve seen so far though I am really impressed. I want this game now.

    1. Finished the rest of the video and man I&#039m really excited to play this. This was not on my radar before. Firaxis has done a great job.
