Zelda Wii U Has Been Delayed, No Longer Releasing in 2015

1

Honestly, I’m not at all surprised by this announcement following the initial reveal of the game at E3 2014.

Nintendo has announced today that Zelda Wii U has been delayed and will no longer be releasing in 2015. The development team does not want the game to be time constrained, and would rather develop the best possible game they can.

You can see the full explanation for the game’s delay just below in the development video update by Eiji Aonuma, producer of The Legend of Zelda.

  1. It’ll be interesting to see whether this stays on Wii U, gets moved to NX, or gets a Wii U release and then a ‘remastered’ NX release a year or two later.
